Sources reveal, “Rohit has wrapped up the Wai schedule of his film and will leave for Ooty. Deepika too was supposed to join them but having learnt about Ayan’s shooting requirements, Rohit happily gave away two dates – April 10 and 11.”

Deepika will first shoot in Mumbai and complete the Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani schedule and then reach Ooty on April 12 to join her Chennai Express team.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is set to release on 31st May and is produced by Karan Johar.

Sources say Ranbir and the cast and crew of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani indulged in some fun moments while shooting for one of the film’s music tracks – ‘Balam Pichkari’!

An onlooker says, “The Holi song Balam pichkari was shot at Film City a few days ago. Once the shoot was over, Ranbir decided to drag everyone to the pool. His co-stars Deepika Padukone, Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapoor were already wet.” We hear, the first to be pulled in was Remo, who choreographed the song, followed by director Ayan Mukerji.

“Ranbir managed to pull in several others too. Within no time all the dancers in the song and the technicians were fully wet. With the entire crew in the pool, it was like an actual Holi” adds the source.

Eros International is releasing overseas and UTV Motion Pictures in India will release Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani on 31st May 2013.

“It was great fun doing the stunts on my own. I have always wanted to do these things,” says Punit, who played with tigers, fed them and went go-karting among other things. “All of us have a wish-list of things we want to do, which give us great joy. Feeding a tiger wasn’t part of mine originally, but I’m glad I got to realise a few other things I did have on my list, and I’d like to thank Samar for that,” he adds.

The director, who is all set to start shooting his next — Gori Tere Pyar Mein with Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan — claims there’s an actor within every director. “All directors are actors. They need to be actors to be able to direct, so acting came naturally to me. People only expect me to direct, so when Samar suggested that I act in this film, I was surprised but excited,” says Punit.

His role in the film is of a young, successful banker who suddenly decides to cut down on his workload and obession with making money to relax and enjoy doing the things he loves.

We have the first song from the film – ‘Yaaram’. Picturized on the whole cast, one of the main sections you will see is Kalki Koechlin singing and playing a guitar. This actually is the first time Kalki Koechlin is lip-syncing for a song! About the experience Kalki said, “I play the guitar in real life, so it was fun for me to bring out my musical side with the song, ‘Yaarum’. I learned the chords and played them while singing. I had to focus on giving the expressions my director wanted, rather than looking down at the guitar. It took quite some co-ordination to get right. It was great fun.”
