Celina Jaitley says she was inspired by British supermodel Kate Moss to do her bikini shoot for Stardust magazine. “I had seen this fabulous swimwear shoot of one of my favourite models, Kate Moss,” she explains, “I instantly knew that I had to do something on the same lines. I was really inspired and wanted to do a shoot which is quite beautiful and of course very sensuous.”
Ever since the death of a gay male friend, Celina has been an active campaigner for equal rights for the gay community in India and she recently participated in the re-launch of Bombay Dost, India’s first official gay magazine. “I’m going to write for the next issue,” says Celina, “It’s an honour. I have a lot of websites fighting for this issue.”
Celina is practically a movie industry in herself and has eight movies in her books at the moment. The most immediate of these is the comedy Paying Guest with Shreyas Talpade and Neha Dhupia. One of her more interesting projects is the Kannada remake of Aitraaz called Shreemati. In the movie, she will re-imagine the role of Priyanka Chopra in the original opposite South superstar Upendra.
