1. Madhuri Dixit

Hailed as the Queen of Bollywood cinema and regarded by many as a living legend, Madhuri Dixit made a splendid comeback in 2007’s Aaja Nachle by Yash Raj Films. After retiring for a few years after marriage and to start a family in the United States, Madhuri Dixit made a high profile return and showed Bollywood that she still had what it took to deliver a powerful performance, dance to make hearts flutter and truly embody the grace, dignity and respect both on and off screen. It doesn’t get better than Madhuri Dixit and Bollywood knows this. Madhuri Dixit’s return to celluloid was in Karan Johar’s own words “the most awaited comeback in recent times”. Although the film did not yield the desired results at the box-office, Madhuri remains untouched and her return embodies what a comeback is truly about. There is yet to be an actress in the current crop with her caliber and grace that can deliver a great performance in any genre. Things change as the years go one, but our love for this woman most certainly will not! Though not a film, fans are eagerly awaiting her turn as a judge on the television show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. All we can do is hope that this will lead to a new role on the big screen! We will impatiently wait and watch.
