Yes, there is more! It all began with the rocking song ‘Jhoom’ from the forthcoming YRF production Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. Singer Daler Mendhi claims that he originally sang the song, which was later re-sung by Shankar Mahadevan. Mahadevan’s track is the one we have all heard.

Mehndi proceeded to file charges against Yash Raj, claiming “criminal breach of trust”. Yash Raj then issued a statement claiming that Daler has known all along that the track was re-recorded.

Fans of Daler Mehndi have now proceeded to burn effigies and posters of Yash Chopra. Mehndi has made no further move that we are aware of.

First the Dhoom 2 kiss controversy, then the Shilpa-Richard Gere issue, and now this. When will the public learn that burning posters does absolutely no good? Rather, it is an immature and shameless way of making a statement. At BollySpice, all we have to say to these protesters is, grow up!

P.S. I don’t think Mr. Mehndi has realised that he is actually contributing to the promotion of the film!
