After our exclusive report on the Desi Boyz shoot in Oxfordshire (check it here), we bring you all the inside scoop from the London sets. The crew moved to London after wrapping up a two week schedule in Oxford in March. While Akhay and Chitrangada went back to India, Deepika Padukone, Omi Vadiya and Anupam Kher joined John and the team for an extensive shooting schedule.

Rohit Dhawan, the director of the film came to England in January on a location scouting (recce) and finalised to shoot several scenes in and outside a house in Northwood. The shooting started on the 27th of March in Northwood, primarily a South Asian residential district in north-west London.

The house, which had been rented for 5 days had a new ‘Awasthi’ nameplate next to the main home door. A very colourful caravan was also placed in the front yard which was used to film scenes with John Abraham.

I spoke to Anupam Kher who told me that he is playing Deepika’s father in the film.

A member of the film crew, wishing not to be named informed us, that the place will be shown as Anupam Kher’s house in the film. Kher’s character dislikes John’s character in the film and consequently, he has to live in the caravan outside the house for some time.

John, Deepika and Anupam Kher shot several scenes inside and outside the house. John was mainly wearing colourful t-shirts and vests while Deepika wore a range of different summer clothes.
