Sudhir Mishra’s new film Khoya Khoya Chand starring Soha Ali Khan and Shiney Ahuja is getting ready to make its mark at the Rome Film Festival. The festival held in October showcases films from all over the world and is an event where many films have their international premiere.
Mishra says, “There is something common about Italians and Indians. I am glad it’s going to Rome and will be presented in front of a wide European audience. Who knows on a flip side you get a wide European release, that’s what a filmmaker craves for.”
According to the official site of Khoya Khoya Chand, the captivating synopsis of the film is: “the tumultuous love story of and actress, Nikhat (Soha Ali Khan), and a writer-director, Zafar (Shiney Ahuja) based in the wild and exhilarating era of the 1950s-60s, the Golden Age of the Hindi Film Industry. Set against the compelling magnetism of this addictive world is the story of Nikhat, the young girl who goes from being a fledgling extra, to a starlet to a great heroine, and Zafar, through whom we see the triumphs and travails of the writer-director of the 1950s. The story of a volatile love that they can neither live with or without…And the story of the difficult and often heartbreaking choices they have to make…”
We look forward to seeing this intriguing and exciting film when it comes to theaters.
