Lara Dutta has been hitting the gym lately in her efforts to develop a leaner shape for her new film, Blue. “I am healthier than ever before because of all the working-out I have been doing and feel that I am in my best form ever,” she says, “I have never wanted to be waif-thin, but to have a fit and lean figure, which I have achieved all thanks to the strenuous training that I have been going through preparing for the movie Blue.”
The former Miss Universe and Economics graduate made her Hindi debut in Andaaz, which earned her the Best Female Debut Award. Her career has gone on to include movies such as Elaan, No Entry, Dosti:Friends Forever, Fanaa, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and Partner.
Blue is being filmed in the Bahamas. “The experience of shooting in Bahamas is quite magnificent and the place is like heaven on earth,” she says. “The sea is just so serene and pure. Each day is like a new experience and the vista never feels jaded. We have caught the most marvelous shots on camera and our audiences will be amazed as it won’t be like anything that they have seen before.”
Lara featured on the July cover of FHM. “It is always an honour to be asked by a leading magazine to be on their cover. FHM is new and has grabbed eye balls. It is a good magazine to be associated with, naughty and nice…nice to work with it,” And how did the FHM team feel about Lara? “Lara is a lot of fun & beans…full of life, gorgeous and super sexy. She is the girl of the moment,” said the editor.
