Neil Nitin Mukesh, who made an outstanding debut in the film Johnny Gaddar, is on a signing spree. Besides his next release Tera Kya Hoga Johnny, the up and coming actor has signed on to be in two new films. Interestingly, all three of these films have very intriguing stories and titles.
Mukesh said, “One of them is called Fame while the other is tentatively titled Freeze. I guess audiences expect unusual titles from me after Johnny Gaddar and my next release Tera Kya Hoga Johnny.”
Tera Kya Hoga Johnny is directed by Sudhir Mishra and according to Neil, “It’s an episodic look at the life of a street child named Johnny. I come into one of the episodes.” Besides the fact that it is odd that he is in another film with Johnny in the title, Neil revealed “Yeah it is rather uncanny. And when I was a child I’d often call myself Johnny for no apparent reason.”
So after this film what is next in the pipeline for Neil? “There’s Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Fame about how the young today are ready and willing to take any road as long as it gets them money. It’s about the shortcuts to a bulky bank balance taken by youngsters, again a moral fable like Johnny Gaddar. Maybe producers see me as the good boy gone to seed.”
Neil will also be pulling on the mantle of a superhero, “The film from Eros tentatively titled Freeze is going to be directed by debutant Jehangir Surti. It’s about a man who sudden comes upon a supernatural power and how it changes his life. Lots of FX and yes, one more morality tale.”
We look forward to seeing all three of these films from this fine actor and will keep you up to date on all the Neil Nitin Mukesh news so keep checking back often!
