Pakistani rock band Strings is in Mumbai working on some music for Sanjay Gupta’s forthcoming Shootout at Wadala, which stars Anil Kapoor and John Abraham in principal roles. You have heard the work of hugely successful band Strings on the band’s albums like Dhaani, as well as on Hindi film OST’s including the songs ‘Yeh Hai Meri Kahani’ from Zinda (a staff favorite) and “Aakhri Alvida” from Shootout at Lokhandwala.

Gupta says, “Though others like Mika, Meet Brothers, Aadesh Srivastava and Anu Malik too would be composing music for the film, Strings is the first team with which I am getting started. I guess geographies don’t matter when it comes to art.”

About Strings coming on board to compose for the upcoming film a source said, “He could have gone to anyone else in the B-town to compose for him but he chose Strings as he wants a sound that is different from quintessential Bollywood entertainers.”

Producer Ekta Kapoor organised a private dinner to welcome the band and here are some exclusive shots of the evening.
