From his debut in Love, Sex Aur Dhoka (2010) to winning praise with the critically acclaimed films Kai Po Che (2013) and Shahid (2013), Rajkumar Rao is now one of the most sought after actors in Bollywood. He no doubt has the potential to acquire high-reaching success.
Known for his convincing performances, the 29 year old actor has confirmed that he is being inundated with film offers after winning the National Film Award for Best Actor for portraying lawyer and activist Shahid Azmi in Hansal Mehta’s biographical drama Shahid.
Speaking whilst promoting his upcoming film Citylights, Rajkumar said that his recent win at the National Film Awards has resulted in directors and producers presenting him with numerous film offers. “I am getting lot of offers (after winning National Award). Otherwise I have not changed which is good and I would like to remain like this. I am glad that I am getting to work with many people.”
Based on a Rajasthani couple migrating to Mumbai for a better life, Citylights has been directed by Mehta and is scheduled for release on 30 May 2014! Rajkumar will also be seen in Dolly Ki Doli with Sonam Kapoor, as well as Hamari Adhuri Kahaani opposite Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi.
