Get ready to laugh and marvel at all the stunts with Rohit Shetty’s latest film, Bol Bachchan, starring Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan with their leading ladies Asin and Prachi Desai. The film is inspired by the 1979 comedy gem, Gol Maal, with Amol Palekar playing a double role for his strict boss Utpal Dutt. As with most Rohit Shetty films, there’s a good mix of stunts, plotlines given away, and some fabulous dishoom dishoom which the trailer gets us hyped for. The famous moustache jokes seem apparent in this redo, but this time the invented brother is quite the camp character as revealed in Abhishek’s later entry. The girls look lovely here, but are mainly restricted to swishing their hair around! The trailer definitely sets up the comedy of mistaken identity, where Abbas Ali (Abhishek Bachchan) who is clearly on the wrong side of the tough pehlwan/gangster played by Devgn. With a clever meta twist, Abbas’ friend names him as Abhishek Bachchan, and naturally the hijinks will ensue with Abhishek and Abbas struggling to keep up the façade for Ajay Devgn. Ajay Devgn does make a pretty brilliant entry in the trailer with riding his motorcycle and explosions in the back. It seems like Ajay might be repeating some of those frenetic and crazy stunts repeated in Singham, while the comedy business is left to Abhishek. Overall, this trailer has got us excited to see this redo of the Gol Maal, with a Rohit Shetty mark of explosions and exhilarating stunts!
The trailer will premiere in theaters around the world soon but we get a sneak peek and can we say how much we are loving this? A lot!
