As previously reported by BollySpice, actor Feroz Khan has died after a long battle with cancer at the age of 69. His son, actor Fardeen Khan had said of his father recently, “My father Feroz Khan is certainly the best dressed Bollywood personality. As far as style is concerned, he is a breed apart from his contemporaries. In fact, he is the one who introduced the high fashionable trends of the West to Hindi films. Even at his age, he continues to set the trend.”

Feroz had expressed a wish to see his beloved horses one last time late last week and Fardeen, with the permission of the medical staff, arranged to fly his father from Mumbai to his farmhouse in Bangalore to enable him to do this. “Fardeen had all the arrangements in place, and the minute the doctors showed the green signal, he flew his father to Bangalore,” said a source.

Starting his early career in the sixties with fun adventure movies such as Samson and Tarzan Goes to India, he moved on stylish action and spy movies such as CID 909 and Tasveer mingled with romance and melodramas such as Aag, Arzoo and Safar, reaching his peak perhaps in International Crook as Police Inspector Rajesh with Charmendra and Saira Banu, for which he was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor award. One of his trademarks was that his on-screen name was often Rajesh or Rakesh.

Feroz still worked until quite recently and last appeared in the movie Welcome with Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor and Mallika Sherawat. He was recently honoured by the industry that he loved with Lifetime Achievement Awards. His funeral will take place in Bangalore.
