It may surprise you to know that John Abraham was not speaking of a female co-star in that quote, he was talking about Abhishek Bachchan. The two worked together in the smash hit Dhoom and are taking on the comedy vein this time with Dostana.

John told IANS, “Abhishek is not a co-star or a colleague. He’s a friend. I dote on him. I love him to death. We never compete. We complement each other in Dostana. We share a great chemistry. Abhishek and I are a couple in the film.” In the film John and Abhi pretend to be in a relationship so that they can share an apartment with Priyanka Chopra’s character. That starts out to be a fine but funny arrangement until they both fall in love with her and then… well you will have to see the movie to see whom she ends up with!

Because the two are such good friends the set was a really fun place to be. They all had a great time shooting for ‘Desi Girl’ however, for the song ‘Maa da ladla’, director Tarun Mansukhani shot the boys separately because he wanted a different feel for the video, “They shot individually so the masti of the rest of the movie was missing on the sets. But I deliberately didn’t shoot the song with John and Abhishek together. I wanted at least this one song to look different from the rest of the film where they’re constantly together, fooling around and chumming it up. This is a music video which we’ll use for promotion and probably for the end titles.”

Dostana, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is set to release on November 14th so be sure and check it out!
