Before his fans start screaming, let me clarify, Ajay Devgan has not quit the film industry but has finally quit smoking. He wrote in his diary, which appears on his official site:
“It has been almost about a week now that I have not smoked a single cigarette. Apparently this time the Health Minister has paid me more than the cigarette companies to quit smoking. :)” He also wrote in a post on the forum, “I will be diverting my mind to blogging more often than on smoke. The advantage is that I will be able to keep in touch with all you wonderful people more often!!!”
Let’s hope other Bollywood stars (hem hem SRK) will follow in his footsteps.
Ajay also shared some other news in his diary. U, Me Aur Hum has completed 50 days in the theaters and he thanked his crew and all his fans for their support. He also wrote that his production company Devgan Films will soon be announcing news about three new exciting projects. “One will be directed by my friend Rohit Shetty (currently in scripting stage). The second one will be direct by me and the third is under consideration. Overall a nice decent lineup.” It has been reported that the film he is going to direct will be an action film.
Currently Ajay and wife Kajol are shooting on the sets of their new film, Toon Ka Superhero. Toon Ka is a combination live action and animated film, where Kajol and Ajay play themselves. It is scheduled to release late this year.
