Former Miss Teen World and Miss Liverpool 2009, Amy Jackson attended a press conference in London today for her upcoming South Indian film Thaandavam also starring superstar Vikram.

Jackson, who was born and brought up in the UK, has been successfully working in Indian cinema for the last three years. The 21-year-old model-turned-actress started shooting her third Indian film in the British capital in the first week of April and will be leaving for India on 15th June.

Thaandavam is an action entertainer in the backdrop of two countries, India and the United Kingdom. It shows how an honest officer gets entangled into a conspiracy and his attempts to save the people and his country’s honour from the conspirators. The film is directed by Vijay of Madrasapattinam fame, which was Jackson’s debut feature film.

Speaking at the press conference about her upcoming film, Amy Jackson said: “Vijay (the director) is the reason I am here today. He introduced me not only to Indian cinemas, but the entire culture of the country. The very first time we met two years ago was in London. I have learnt a lot during the shooting of this film. It has been a lot easier for me as it is my home country and London has been fantastic. It has been great shooting here. Hopefully, the audience will really enjoy the movie when it releases in September.”

Thaandavam also stars stars Anushka Shetty, Jagapathi Babu, Lakshmi Rai, Nasser, Santhanam amongst others.
