Bollywood’s beloved Munnabhai has become a father again. Sanjay Dutt’s wife Maanayata delivered a baby girl and a baby boy on Thursday, October 21 at Breach Candy Hospital in Bombay.
Seems it was Sanju’s close friend and producer Bunty Walia who first announced the good news on Facebook: At about 1:30 pm IST he wrote “arrival of the dutt siblings…” and just a few minutes later, “a girl and boy…… junior Dutts have arrived….”. Since then, the congratulations and blessings for the proud parents on the social network sides have not stopped. Maana’s close friend Ameesha Patel tweeted shortly thereafter from the hospital “Babies n mom both safe”. Sanju’s colleagues like Farah Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Sophie Choudry and Rahul Dholakia expressed their joy and best wishes for the Dutt family as well as Sanju’s fans, supporters and well-wishers from all over the world.
Sanju has a grown-up daughter, Trishala, from his first marriage with the late Richa Sharma. Fate did not allow him to see his daughter grow up as her mother fell ill with a brain tumor shortly after Trishala’s birth. Richa was brought for treatment to the USA, where Trishala since then stayed with her maternal family, NRIs from New York. Through all these years, Sanju kept contact with his daughter by letters, mail, chats and phone calls but due to his legal troubles it was not possible for him to travel to the USA as often as he wished to. Despite these obstacles Sanju managed to keep a close and loving relationship with his daughter and he is very proud of her, but the loss of raising his own child remains more than a drop of bitterness in his troubled life.
