We’re all aware of how politicians are active on Twitter in the times when social media has become an important part of people’s daily lives. For both the sides, the politicians and the people, it has proved to be a great way to communicate time and again.

So, when actor Irrfan Khan wanted to meet a few politicians to ask questions “as a common man” ahead of the release of his film Madaari, he decided to ask three of India’s most active Twitter-savvy politicians — Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and Congress Party’s Vice-President Rahul Gandhi.

First, Irrfan tweeted Arvind Kejriwal and received prompt responses:

Next on his list was Rahul Gandhi, who also gave immediate replies, and meetings were supposedly fixed:

But when it came time to tweet the Indian PM, he received the following reply:

Madaari releases in cinemas on 22nd July 2016, distributed by Reliance Entertainment
