Khichdi, the popular Indian sitcom that had the masses glued to their TV screens, has one very hot Bollywood actor waiting for its scheduled release date of October 1st: John Abraham.
John Abraham and his mother used to love watching Khichdi together when it aired on television, “My mom used to enjoy the TV show a lot and I am glad that it’s being made as a film.” The Bollywood hunk and his mother are planning to watch the movie together when it releases on the big screen.
The cast of the original soap Khichdi, which includes Shahid Kapoor’s stepmom Supriya Pathak, will be starring in the big screen version.
The TV series, Khichdi, was centered on a joint Gujarati family, the Parekhs, who found themselves in many typical situations, which are common amongst Indian families in India. The family try to solve the situations in unusual ways leading to plenty of funny moments.
We will have to wait and see how Khichdi performs at the box office, it is already attracting the attention of John Abraham, and if it is popular perhaps we will see more TV series making the leap to the big screen.
