The year 2009 was surely a roller coaster ride for the beautiful lass Katrina. With movies like New York, her acting skills came into light and were acknowledged by one and all. Then came Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani, De Dhana Dan and the insignificant Blue.
The audience no doubt loved the ‘Paisa Paisa’ girl in all her movies. The upcoming year also looks very promising for the actress, with the most awaited movie of her career Rajneeti being released, where she plays young Sonia Gandhi.
Her career graph surely raised high in 2009, but her personal life & health seemed a bit “shaken”. With link-ups with co-stars, and rumors of break-up with beau, Salman. Workaholic Katrina even faced health issues.
But all her hard work and turmoil paid off well and acknowledged by all when the 25 years old was awarded for her “excellence and contribution to cinema” by Assocham. The lady draped in a Green sari confessed that it is hard work and self-belief that helps you keep on going & stand aloof in this cut-throat competitive world. Katrina was to receive this award on 17th December, but it was called off since she underwent a surgical procedure in Mumbai, due to low hemoglobin level then.
Katrina also said, “I think it is very easy for us to go for things which scream for our attention.If you can sport a craft which can make someone’s life beautiful you should do that.” That’s a nice way of promoting craftsmanship which is in dismal straits in the country Katrina.
