The exotic Lekha Washington, part Indian and part Italian, is back home in Chennai after spending months in Mumbai and Goa on her Bollywood debut Peter Gaya Kaam Se, opposite Rajeev Khandelwal. It’s about a boy who decides to leave Goa and his criminal past behind him but is then asked by his gang-boss to do one last simple task to clear the decks. Lekha denies the rumours that there is a passionate lip embrace in the movie between her and Ranjeev. “We don’t have a kissing scene,” she confirms, “But yes, I do appear in a bikini in the film. The film is being edited by Anurag Kashyap and those who have seen the trailer say I look smashing.”

Lekha is now looking forward to working on Quarter Cutting, opposite Shiva. “It is an out and out fun movie which revolves around three characters – Shiva, Charan and me,” she explains, “Directors Pushkar and Gayathri have crafted a rollicking script which has loads of laughter.”

Lekha is also associated with the Kannada movie Thuntta Thuntti with Ganesh and Ishita Sharma; and the stalled production of the big-budget Rakkozhi opposite Jai. In addition, she is lined up for the Allu Arjun multi-starrer Vedam, which also features the magnificent Anushka.
