Music, Movies and Fun will hit The O2 when AR Rahman hits the stage on August 15th!

ARconcertAR Rahman will be taking the stage at the world famous The O2 on August 15th in a concert featuring his Greatest Hits. If that was not exciting enough, there are also some fabulous activities and events before and after the concert!

There will be a screening of ‘Jai Ho’, a documentary about AR Rahman, top DJ’s from the BBC, street food from the subcontinent, as well as plenty of free activity, like Bollywood dance classes.

Here are the details!

Film Screening at Cineworld at The O2
The first UK screening of ‘Jai Ho’, the documentary based on music maestro AR Rahman’s life will take place at Cineworld at 4pm. This one off screening will be introduced by BBC presenters Tommy Sandhu and Noreen Khan. Tickets are available at AXS.com.

Live from The Piazza
To entertain the crowds ahead of the arena show, BBC DJs will be at The Piazza from 2pm, with Panjabi Hit Squad, followed by a DJ set from Yasser at 4.00pm. Head down for free to be in with a chance to win prizes and see the DJs live.

Bollywood and Bowling at Brooklyn Bowl
From midday, Brooklyn Bowl at The O2 will be hosting lots of free activity including; screening excerpts from favourite Bollywood films and dance lessons from Jay Kumar at 4pm and 5pm.

Food and more at The Piazza

Throughout the day, the finest Asian street food will be on offer including; Kothu Kothu, Horn Ok Please and Papi’s Pickles.

Vera Black Designs who create unique and original feather and beaded jewellery will be onsite plus Star TV; the official media partner of the show, and Kingfisher; the official beer partner.

After Party at Brooklyn Bowl
The official after show for AR Rahman will take place at Brooklyn Bowl and will feature world famous DJs; Panjabi Hit Squad and Britain’s Bollywood ‘It Boys’, Raj & Pablo. Tickets are available at AXS.com.
