Fresh from his battles with the Italian paparazzi during his holiday on Lake Como with Italian TV presenter Elisabeta Canalis, George Clooney will be heading towards Toronto next month for what is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing International Film Festivals in the city for many years – with a constellation of over 500 stars and 300 films from 64 different countries. Toronto is clearly the place to be next month.

Among the films being premiered are Priyanka Chopra’s What’s Your Rashee? and Rani Mukherjee’s Dil Bole Hadippa, which also stars Shahid Kapoor and features Rakhi Sawant and Sherlyn Chopra. Rani certainly looks stunning in the promos for her movie, which should see her catapaulted back into the top five Bollywood actresses, with what appears to be an hilarious plot and crisp editing. Both actresses will be attending the Festival along with directors Ashutosh Gowariker and Anurag Singh. Canadian and Bollywood actress Lisa Ray will also be there, as well as Abhay Deol and Harman Baweja, Priyanka’s co-star in What’s Your Rashee?.

The Bollywood contingent will be rubbing shoulders with a whole slew of American stars including Mr Playboy Hugh Hefner, Mariah Carey, Oprah Winfrey, Demi Moore, who stars in the partly Indian-financed The Joneses, the Duchess of York, Nicolas Cage, Viggo Mortensen, Woody Harrelson, Juliette Lewis, Sir Ridley Scott, Drew Barrymore promoting her directorial debut Whip It! a film about America’s greatest contribution to world sport – roller derby, Keanu Reeves, Old Vic director Kevin Spacey, Michael Douglas and Pedro Almadovar’s muse Penelope Cruz. Michael Moore will be presenting his new movie – Capitalism: A Love Story which is predicted to do well, although Toronto does not run competitions unlike other festivals.

We will keep you in the know about the festival so keep checking back here often!
