R. Madhavan speaks out on the mistreatment of birds by fast-food industry outlets

The vegetarian actor, and brand ambassador for PETA, is reported to have written a letter to the CEO of Kentucky Fried Chicken, urging him to stop the killing of the animals.

IANS reports that the 3 Idiots star has requested the boycott of KFC in India over animal welfare and conditions. The star wrote to the chairman: “I am sure you’re a compassionate person who agrees that animals, whether they are dogs, cats or chickens, should not be abused and that working to stop this unnecessary cruelty should be a top priority,”

Madhavan further requested: “Please use your unique position to stop the worst abuses of these sensitive birds by making the improvements suggested by PETA and KFC’s own former animal welfare advisors.”

The actor joins Raveena Tandon and Rakhi Sawant in supporting the work of PETA in India.
