Rohit Shetty, who is best known for the Golmaal franchise and other comedies such as All the Best and Sunday, is getting ready for the release of his next film, Singham.
Singham, unlike the majority of Rohit’s previous films, is an out and out action film, which is something the director has not done since his debut film Zameen, which was released in 2003.
Rohit Shetty’s films usually have elaborate action sequences in them and fans should not be disappointed with Singham. Right from the opening scene the lead actor in the film, Ajay Devgn, is seen chasing gangsters leading to 20 cars being blown up.
Singham is a remake of the hit Tamil film with the same name. Ajay Devgn takes on the role of a cop whilst south Indian actress Kajal Aggarwal plays his love interest. It is set to release on July 22nd 2011.
