Sporting a purple ‘Being Human’ tee, blue jeans, swinging to Ready’s popular chartbuster ‘Dinka Chika’ accompanied by dancers, Salman Khan walked into the venue with the élan of the superstar that he is, welcomed by hoots, whistles and claps of the gathered audience. He was there for the press meet to announce the READY LIVE MAD Music Concert, by T-Series. However, he was a bit late but when Salman Khan walks in for an event 2 hours later than the stipulated time, he isn’t late, everyone else is just early. That was precisely the mantra that went around the full-house audience who patiently lingered around ballroom of the suburban hotel, which was the venue for the event. The READY LIVE MAD Music Concert is a 3-hour music concert that will be held on 2nd June in Mumbai, just a day prior to the film’s worldwide release. The film’s music director Pritam will be joined by artistes Shibani Kashyap, Tulsi Kumar, Neeraj Sridhar, Tochi, rock band Trip Recipe and DJ Ramji Gulati. It will also feature acts by Krishna, Suresh Laheri, and a fashion extravaganza by the fashion partner Provogue. Organised by 3rd rock entertainment, contests are being held at Planet M and Provogue outlets for the fans to win free passes.

During the event audiences were treated to a preview of the acts being planned for the main concert by Shibani Kashyap, rock band Trip Recipe and sneak peek of the fashion show by Provogue.

Once Salman arrived of course the energy went up a notch. With many witty and some cheeky answers, Salman was in his usual effervescent element rushing past questions on the film’s music, Dabangg winning the National award and a rumored gun-related event that happened a day earlier during the promotions in another city.

He also spoke very passionately about his foundation Being Human’s foray into production with the film Chillar Party, co-produced by UTV to release on July 8th. “It is such an amazing film, that I thought Being Human, Salman Khan had to be part of the film. It is the most beautiful film I have ever seen.” Talking about Dabangg’s National award win, he said, “These awards and rewards were already given to us by the audience”. In true Sallu style, upon being gifted by Agni Jewels, a pair of sunglasses adorned with mini diamonds, Salman teased that in the Mumbai heat all he had to do was place the sunglasses out so that the plastic would melt and he could have the diamonds.
