aedilhaimushkilposterstillThe Ae Dil Hai Mushkil cast is getting bigger and even more exciting by the minute. If Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Anushka Sharma coming together in a Karan Johar film was not good enough already, Fawad Khan was added to the mix.

Now we hear that there is another amazing cast memeber that will be making a special cameo! The film director, Karan Johar, has confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan will be making a guest appearance in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

At the Toronto International Film Festival Karan Johar said, “Shah Rukh and I have an amazing working rapport. I haven’t directed a film with him in the last seven years, but he did a scene for me recently in a film that is going to release in Diwali and after seven years when I directed him, I realised nothing had changed. He knew exactly what I was expecting of him and I knew exactly what he was going to do.”

Adding star Ranbir told him, “‘What you guys have is an aspiration for an actor’.”

Shah Rukh Khan has been known to make guest appearances in films produced or directed by individuals who hold a special place in his heart since the start of his career.

Let’s take a look at some favorite Shah Rukh Khan’s cameos and extended guest appearances:

Saathiya

Shah Rukh Khan played an IAS office in the movie named Yeshwant Rao. He appears in the film very late on in the second half as Tabu’s husband. Playing a supportive husband to an extremely talented actor like Tabu wasn’t an easy job but Shah Rukh Khan stood his own ground with his restrained performance. His pairing with Tabu was appreciated a lot, but sadly we still haven’t seen them do a feature film together.

Bhootnath

In Bhootnath, Shah Rukh Khan had an extended appearance as the film’s child lead Banku. He played an engineer on a cruise line, and was only seen in a few scenes. He played a doting father to his son and had to support the Ghost (Amitabh Bachchan) to attain freedom. The film was a decent success, and much of it was thanks to Aman Siddiqui (Banku) and Amitabh Bachchan’s crackling joyous chemistry.

Luck By Chance

Shah Rukh Khan had only one scene in this film, but that was the one scene which stayed with you long after the film was over. He appeared as himself and delivered some words of advice for Farhan Akhtar’s character which is essential for anyone who wants fame. It was felt, that the dialogues he mouthed were actually his own words.

We certainly can’t wait to see how SRK will fit into the big screen love story. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Fawad Khan and Anushka Sharma, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil hit theaters on October 28th!
