Shah Rukh Khan has begun shooting for his next film, Aditya Chopra’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The film went to floors on May 16th and also stars newcomer Anushaka Sharma opposite Shah Rukh.

About working with the new actress Shah Rukh said, “It feels great to work with new girls. If I work with heroines, who have been in the industry longer, that will be a new experience for me. I have worked with 17 new girls in Chak De! India, with Deepika Padukone in Om Shanti Om and now, with Anushka. They are sweet, punctual and good. The best part is that I do not have to adjust my timing and dates, they are always available. They work and rehearse a lot. Anushka is a very good actor.”

King Khan is excited to work with Aditya Chopra again and for the Yash Raj Banner: “The first day of shooting is what gave me goose bumps like nothing else and to make films with Yash Raj, that too when Adi is directing, is an experience that is more than 100% exciting. Yash Raj Films is, and will always be, home for me and who doesn’t love coming home? Yashji and Adi have always given me roles that have gotten me love and appreciation from fans all over the world.”

He added, “And this time Adi has again written a character for me to play that I think will become as beloved as Raj of DDLJ was. I am going to be trying as usual to hit it out of the park with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.” Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is scheduled to release on December 12th.

After Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, SRK will start work on Karan Johar’s next film and about that project he said “I do not know the story yet. I do not even know if it is My Name is Khan or just Khan. Karan is yet to narrate the story. I am doing the film of course. I will never say no to Karan.” Karan also hopes that Kajol will not say no because he want her to play Shah Rukh’s wife in the film.

As we previously reported the character he will be playing is autistic. Shah Rukh confirmed this saying, “I know that my character has nothing to do with Dustin Hoffman’s Rainman character. But the film is about autism.”

We will be sure to report all the news about both of these exciting projects so check back here often!
