Sunjay Dutt Takes a Break

Even the busiest actor needs a little break now and then which is why Sanjay Dutt took some time off his hectic schedule to enjoy a short holiday together with his wife Maanayata, in Egypt, before he returning to the sets to wrap up Anees Bazmee’s No Problem. After that, he will start shooting for Apoorva Lakhia’s next. Add Mani Shankar’s Knock Out, which is to be released on April 30, and Rahul Dholakia’s Lamhaa, Dutt has an impressive series of films coming up, especially the long awaited Kashmir opus by Dholakia of Parzania fame.

Though he has resigned as the General Secretary of the Samajwadi Party, Sanjay Dutt is still an SP member and has no intentions to leave politics for good. In addition, he now is even committed to cricket as the owner of the Sirsa Gullies T-10 team for the T-10 Gully Cricket Season 2, ‘Ab Har Koi Khelega’ and will take the responsibility for marketing and promoting it in India. Being a strong supporter of sports – he is also brand ambassador of the Indian boxing – Dutt has always been very interested to encourage especially the youngsters for working out and doing sports.

At his presentation as the Team owner of the Sirsa Gullies, Sanjay said, “I am genuinely delighted to be an owner of this promising and talented team. This talent hunt will give an opportunity to showcase their talent and live their passion of playing cricket. I will be personally involved in all the aspects of my team and appeal to corporates, institutions and society as a whole to extend their co-operation & support for this social cause. T-10 Gully Cricket provides an excellent platform to the youngsters to showcase their talent. There are some extremely brilliant players who play in the gullies of our country, and in the process have sharpened their skills continuously bettering their performances. Its time that their skills are projected in front of the country and they get their credit.”

Most of all, however, Sanjay surely is eagerly waiting for Rajkumar Hirani to finish the script for Munnabhai 3 and to start shooting for it. At the launch of the Lage Raho Munnabhai Screenbook in December, Sanjay admitted, “Actually, I love every moment of Munnabhai. And I would love to relive those moments over and over again.”
