During the making of Do Knot Disturb, rumors were flying high about both leading ladies, Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta simply detesting one another. However, the actresses went on to state that these claims were baseless and untrue. And to prove that both the Miss Universes’ are truly friends and not rivals, Sushmita has asked Lara to be a part of her new project, I Am She.
Her new venture is going to considered the official preliminary to Miss Universes. In a press conference, she declared the incentive behind I Am She, “This would be a major platform for women from all parts of the country, more so from smaller towns.” She additionally vowed that this would be the ideal platform for Indian women to, “The spirit of the Indian woman which personifies the combination of beauty and intelligence.” The extremely intelligent ex-Miss Universe went on to explain clearly that India is no more an old-fashioned country, “Today, India is a global identity and we are broad-minded and I want to promote that through this venture.”
Sushmita’s inspiration for starting her venture was simple, “When I read the book The Secret, I realized that I knew what I wanted all the while. It was the universe’s way of telling me that whatever is yours comes back to you at some point of time. And for me it has taken 16 long years. And now my entire focus is on I AM SHE.”
Getting back to Lara, it seems that Sush has requested Lara to come “on board” and become a mentor to the contestants. According to sources, Sush’s exact agenda for Lara is to, “to spend time with the contestants and explain how to approach the contest.” Talks of asking other ex-beauty winners including Dia Mirza and Priyanka Chopra too are in being considered. However, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s name been completely avoided.
