Anju Mahendroo in The Dirty Picture

The Ekta Kapoor-produced The Dirty Picture directed by Milan Luthria is making the right news regularly. The latest is that the film features an important character inspired by the most feared and controversial film journalist of yesteryear, Devyani Chaubal, who passed away in 1995.

There had been much speculation about who was going to play the role of the sensational journalist. The cat is finally out of the bag – the erstwhile actress, Anju Mahendroo, has been confirmed. In fact, Anju, who knew Devyani on a personal level, will bring major nuances of Devyani into her reel-life character.

In the film, Anju’s character has major issues with Reshma’s (Vidya Balan) sky-rocketing popularity.
