Pooja Bhatt’s upcoming film Jism 2 has been classified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an ‘A’ (Adults Only) certificate. Fans need not worry of the film being sizzled down after the cuts as Bhatt tweeted that the film ‘has not been affected in the least by the cuts I made upon my own discretion’. Furthermore, Bhatt states that the changes implemented have ‘genuinely… made my film more erotic’.
Jism 2 is a sequel to the Bipasha Basu led film, Jism (2003). This time the Indo Canadian porn star Sunny Leone is leading with Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh. The trap is all set to capture a notorious assassin (Randeep Hooda) when an intelligence officer (Arunoday Singh) hires a beautiful porn star (Sunny Leone). The task becomes increasingly complicated when not only is she forced to confront her past, but also has to make a vital choice. This choice is to put her life into a double jeopardy.
The film was always targeted towards an adult audience as Bhatt emphasised to IANS: “We applied for an ‘A’ because I am very clear that I want an ‘A’ and not a ‘U/A’. I am not making the film for children, it’s an adult film for adult sensibilities. The adult audience is a sizeable number and it is big enough for my film.”Pooja Bhatt’s vision for Jism 2 is to cater towards ‘the man on the streets and women who understand erotica.’ The much anticipated Jism 2 is set for release on August the 3rd.
