Riding high on the success of his recent releases like The Dirty Picture and Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai, actor Emraan Hashmi has been planning to enter the 10 crore league. Buzz is that the actor has achieved his goal and has upped his price in the market by charging a whopping amount for all the fresh projects.

However when quizzed about it at the Shanghai press meet, he says “I have increased my rate but I cannot tell you the exact figure. It is a safe price; it is not a crazy price.”

The renumeration, however, does not apply to his home production. “As an actor I don’t think my rate should burden the film. I don’t want it to be detrimental to my own career. There are some actors who charge the moon and then eventually it burdens the film but I’ll never do that. It’s not a crazy price and thankfully I have worked with a producer so I know what all an actor has to hear when he becomes overpriced. I know what that price should be so that it keeps me in the industry in the long haul,” said the 32 year old.

Apart from Shanghai, Emraan has two more releases lined up for this year, Mahesh Bhatt’s crime thriller, Jannat 2 and Vikram Bhatt’s 3D horror film, Raaz 3.
