A little more about Kites!

Kites starring Hrithik Roshan is one of the films that everyone has on their “I must see this film” list. Produced by Rakesh Roshan, and directed by Anurag Basu, the film also stars Kangana Ranaut and newcomer to Hindi films, Spanish beauty Barbara Mori. The film is not your typical masala flick and though not much is known, we have find out a bit more about this intriguing film with the opening of the official site.

The story is:

In the harsh terrain of the Mexican desert, a mortally wounded man is left for dead in the heat of the desert sun. This is J. Once a street smart, carefree young guy. Now, a wanted man. The only thing that keeps him a live is the quest to find the love of his life, Natasha. A woman engaged to another man, but surely destined for J. A woman who comes into his life like a bolt of lighting and changes it forever.

Kites is a story of love that goes beyond barriers, boundaries, and cultures. It is a story of passion that defies every rule, of a relationship that takes two lovers on thrilling journey filled with precious moments – and unexpected betrayal.

If the story alone wasn’t captivating enough, the website also has a very, very cool intro with some gorgeous music playing while stills from the film flash by, superimposed on the pictures are these words and they seem to give you the essence of why the film is called Kites.
