Abhishek Bachchan was hurt on the set of Bol Bachchan while filming a small action sequence in Jaipur. Apparently he and a rickshaw had a tussle and Abhi ended up with six stitches over his right eye and some other minor injuries as well.
According to a crew member Abhishek was doing a stunt sequence and was chasing the rickshaw when he slipped and fell into the moving vehicle.
On his blog the understandably upset Papa Bachchan gave a bit more of the story that he got from Abhi, “I was chasing a character in the film and running between several hand rickshaws .. six retakes because the guy that I was chasing was not getting it right .. and then it happened .. missed a step on the platform and hit the metal on the rick ! Bled profusely .. Rohit Shetty directing, immediately put ice on it and asked me to put some sugar on the tongue the bleeding shall stop … it actually stopped…” Amitabh added, “sugar on tongue stops bleeding? heard it for the first time!!!”
Abhishek was rushed to the hospital but after treatment was released and is now at home in Mumbai.
Seems that actor is going to be fine and is in good spirits. He tweeted, ‘I will be fine. Can’t say the same for the rickshaw!!! Banged him up good! Hehe’
He added today, “Upside to injury is that I’m getting pampered to my hearts content at home. Downside….. Looking like Rocky Balboa after a fight!! ;-))).”
Bol Bachchan, is being directed by Rohit Shetty and starring along with Abhishek Bachchan are Ajay Devgn, Asin, Prachi Desai and Archana Puran Singh. The comedy began filming in August and is set for a 2012 release.
