Bollywood superstar, Akshay Kumar’s heart beats for children and old alike. Far from the world of film and glamour, Akshay devotes his time to special causes close to his heart including the Asian Heart Institute (AHI) for which he has been named an Ambassador.

AHI tirelessly supports the cause of one million infants born globally with congenital heart problems and senior citizens who fight every day for their lives due to other heart related diseases.

During the launch when Akshay Kumar was announced as the Ambassador for Heart Patients, he stated that “This team, ‘Messiahs of Heart’, believes in giving back to society and the least we can do is support them in their noble endeavour”.

The AHI institute has launched a service that gives economical but expert cardiac treatment to the two most important segments of Indian society: children under 12 years of age and elders above 65 years of age. AHI will also team up energetically with the Retail Drugs and Chemists Association and pharmacists, numbering more than 1,000 in Mumbai, in order to reach out to a maximum number of people.
