Superstar Amitabh Bachchan was rushed to the hospital earlier today. The actor, who turned 66 today, was getting reading to celebrate his birthday when he began to have severe stomach pain, a fever and high blood pressure. To make sure it was nothing to serious the actor was sent by ambulance to Nanavati Hospital at about 12:30 pm but then after an initial examination was moved to the ICU at Lilavati Hospital. Abhishek, Aishwarya and Shweta, Amitabh’s daughter all accompanied him to the hospital.
Reports suggest that he has had x-rays as well an endoscopy and was admitted to the ICU but is in stable condition. According to a bodyguard he will be in the hospital for at least 3 days.
