AR Rahman Makes India Proud Again!

Yet again the musical mystro has made the nation and Indians across the globe extremely proud. AR Rahman’s success for his work in Slumdog Millionaire keeps climbing new heights and the acclaim for his work is simply not about to stop any time soon.

The latest triumph of the South Indian composer was at the Grammy Awards where he took not one but two trophies home. He won the first Grammy at the pre-show in Staples Center for the Best Compilation in a Motion Picture and later on ‘Jai Ho’ won the Best Motion Picture Song.

“This is insane, God is great,” were the only words the composer could muster whilst accepting the second award in front of an exclusive VIP audience.

Rahman’s fellow nominees in Best Compilation category were composers of films Inglorious Bastard, Cardilac Records, Twilight and True Blood. As for the Best Song category, Rahman succeeded over Bruce Springsteen for his work in The Wrestler.

So yet again the nation is dancing to his tunes in celebration of the triumph of a wonderful human being, a talented artist and most importantly a noble Indian who’s made Desi’s across the globe extremely proud!
