The Ghajini debutant who is now a superstar down south is rising to the top swiftly with many prestigious projects under her belt including her upcoming film London Dreams directed by the Namastey London director Vipul Shah that co-stars Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn. However, more than London Dreams the spotlight has no shifted to a possible project shaping up in the near future to be directed by none other than Ashotush Gowariker.
The Jodhaa Akbar director has left a mark with every film from Lagaan to Swades and even to his latest outing What’s Your Rashee? Which despite getting mixed feelings from critics remains to be quite a legendary attempt in casting one actress in twelve different roles. Post WYR the director returns to the theme of period drama however this time around the genre changes to a thriller rather than a romantic saga like JA.
Leading tabloid Mid-Day reported that Asin met up with the director at his residence where he spoke about working with her. In that moment apparently Asin stopped the director in his recitation of the possible storyline and said that she doesn’t need to hear it as she has full faith in the maker and was looking forward to working with the director of such acclaimed films, all of which she loves!
Incidentally Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who starred in Ashu’s previous period drama was considered for the role but as of the latest news Asin is the leading lady now in the picture! Only time will tell if Asin manages to attain the same adoration, admiration and acclaim as the Bachchan Bahu!
