A while back, Ramgopal Varma had announced he would do a film titled, Time Machine with Shah Rukh Khan. But later on, he felt that SRK would not fit into his type of film making, and he decided to shelve the project. But the newest development is the film is being brought back to life, but with a different cast. SRK is now being replaced by the Bachchan duo, Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan.
RGV confirms this to Indiafm by saying, “Yes, both Amitabh and Abhishek will star in the film. I haven’t decided on the date of shooting yet, since I am pre-occupied with Ramgopal Varma Ki Aag, Darling and Sarkar Raj at the moment… It’s unfortunate that I couldn’t make the film with Shah Rukh.”
It seems as if RGV is all over the Bollywood release schedule. He has Ramgopal Varma Ki Aag and Darling releasing back to back on August 31st and September 7th. After that will be Sarkar Raj, which is 80% complete, and is slated for a December release. RGV just doesn’t stop as the man is like a machine when it comes to directing and producing films.
As for Time Machine, we don’t have many details on it yet, but from the title it does make you wonder what kind of film RGV has up his sleeve. One thing for sure is with RGV and the Bachchans together, this one will definitely be one to look forward to!
