Bhindi Baazaar Inc, project of Picture thoughts production postpones its release to June 17th, 2011 worldwide. Justifying the postponing the release Karan Arora adds “Bhindi Baazaar Inc while being a niche screenplay also has the street spicy flavour for a wider audience. This not being a flamboyant star studded film needs innovative marketing & efficient publicity push and with reference to the efforts gone in the film I would want the film to get its deserved audience. The primary reason to push the release date of the film is the IPL as it gets all the media slots and the limelight and then the second reason being the rush of films releasing in April-May clearing the World Cup backlog. While we postponed the release we made sure that we utilise the time; we also got to complete the promotional song with Caterina Lopez, which is a remix of Akkad Bakkad…We have locked June 17th as our final release date; and the promos are all over the television.”
The film revolves around gangs of Mumbai who have embraced pickpocketing as an art and a means of earning the livelihood. the film is directed by Ankush Bhatta and it stars Kay Kay Menon, Deepti Naval, Prashant Narayan, Shilpa Shukla, Vedita Pratap Singh, Piyush Mishra, and introducing Shweta Verma, Caterina Lopez and Gautam.
The film is now set to release on June 17th, 2011.
