Kareena’s character falls in love with Hrithik’s character in a whirlwind romance away from home, but when she returns home she sees that her father has becomes disillusioned with love marriages. Kareena breaks up with Hrithik by lying about her true feelings and running off in tears, but the audience is pleased to see the pair reunited at the end of the film.
