Super sexy Celina Jaitley has high expectations for Golmaal Returns following the less than satisfactory results from Money Hai Toh Honey Hai. She’s very pleased to be returning to a full-on comedy format. “I did Golmaal Returns because I loved the prequel Golmaal and somehow I wanted to do a movie which would have the capability to become as big as a No Entry,” she says. She’s also pleased that the movie allows her to de-glam a bit. “I was looking forward for a role like that because I am fed up of doing glamorous roles. There is much more to me than just being a barbie on screen,” she explains.
Half-Afghan and Half-Punjabi Indian, Celina was Miss India in 2001. She is also the brand ambassador for Egyptian Tourism. Would she like to see more Bollywood movies shot in India? “Of course yes. Recently, there was a song from Singh Is Kinng which was shot in front of the beautiful pyramids. We did a lot of publicity for the tourism back in Egypt and in India. Egypt is one of the most romantic destinations in the world. Let’s not forget the famous love story of Cleopatra and Ceasar which took place in Egypt,” she argues.
Celina has a number of interesting projects lined up including the New Zealand made movie The Quest of Scheherzade (although there is currently some dispute over what the final title will be) and Hello Darling with Eesha Koppikar. She also appears in EMI. Celina is also committed to the PETA campaign and is taking part in their ‘Shackled, Beaten and Abused’ campaign. Photographed in chains, she is seen in the ad being attacked by men with spears – works for me, how about you?
