Hearing of abuse towards parents and parents being disowned in India particularly triggered the work behind this project. The charity Dharam Seva Records felt it is rare that a track featuring a message about respecting one’s parents is released. The main hookline of the track is that – parents don’t need to be worshipped they deserve to be respected. In line with the teachings of the Sikh Gurus, the organisation wished to highlight this topic on their label.
They hope the song can help strengthen family values and remind people who hear or see the video how special their parents are, who nurtured them and did all they can for them.
