With the wait finally over for fans worldwide, Yash Raj Films’ presented one of 2016’s most anticipated action thriller FAN, starring Shah Rukh Khan in a double role, which opened to exciting figures on its first day.
A gripping observation of the darker side of celebrity obsession, FAN presents Bollywood’s most celebrated actor, Shah Rukh Khan, in a double role as superstar and fan, balancing two character roles to perfection. The actor’s look as a twenty-something, doppelganger fan for the film was created by renowned, Hollywood special effects makeup artist, Greg Cannom – nine-time Academy Award nominee and three-time Oscar winner for the looks he created in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Mrs. Doubtfire and Dracula. In 2005, Cannom received a Technical Achievement Award from the Academy for the development of specially modified silicone material used for makeup applications in motion pictures. For FAN, 3D scanning was implemented as part of the process to create Shah Rukh Khan’s young man look in the film.
