India’s very own rapper and pop sensation Hard Kaur recently adorned an outfit designed for Madonna for her upcoming single.
Hard Kaur will be seen sizzling in the music video wearing a stunning outfit, which was initially designed for Madonna by celebrity designer Priya Kataria Puri.
“I was wearing an outfit from Priya Kataria’s label recently at an awards evening and saw this outfit at Priya’s store when I went for the trials. I was like – ‘whaaat a stunning outfit!!! It was such a cool piece and a lovely colour. I thought this would be perfect for my video. I later found out (and trust me I was super excited) that she had actually designed it for Madonna for an interview, which unfortunately never happened. Madonna has been a great inspiration to me and so it was truly magical to have worn this piece. Priya is a close friend and it’s an honour for me to be wearing her piece in my video,” Hard Kaur says excitedly.
“Basically, I was supposed to interview Madonna for my show ‘Born Stylish’ on Colors Infinity. I was super excited and wanted to gift her something, which had a bit of Indian influence yet was something modern and western, something that she would wear. So I designed two body suits to gift her, one in burgundy and the other in gold. However, unfortunately Madonna was not able to come to India for the interview and somehow one of the outfits happened to go to the store where Hard Kaur came across it. It’s interesting that I had actually designed it for Madonna but Hard Kaur ended up wearing it, which really goes to show that every outfit has the name of the person written on it. Another interesting fact is that Hard Kaur and Madonna’s size is exactly the same. Hard Kaur looked no less stunning as Madonna in that outfit, she did complete full justice to the outfit. She looked absolutely fabulous. She is the rock diva,” says designer Priya Kataria Puri.
One look at Hard Kaur sashaying in that spectacular outfit in her video and you know, Priya was absolutely right. Hard Kaur, indeed is a rock diva!
