The streets of Sydney, Australia are alive with the buzz off Bollywood! Karan Johar’s Darma Productions is the production banner of a new yet-to-be-named film currently being shot in Sydney.
Directed by Siddharth Malhotra, the film is a remake of Hollywood’s Stepmom (Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon) and stars Arjun Rampal, Kajol and Kareena Kapoor, who were last seen together in Khabi Khushi Khabi Gham.
Malhotra has said that Sydney is “a film friendly place which had the best locales worldwide and suited the script requirements.” He has been giving us some inside info via his (@sidmalhotra01) tweets about the development of the film.
Sid (as he’s known on Twitter) has been singing the praises of his stars in his tweets.
Tweeting about Ajrun Rampl, Sid says, “arjun was the ideal casting 4 this character. anyone else would b an overcast!”
Before filming started, Sid tweeted,”The meet with Kajol was great…went thru every scene and line..she`s simply brilliant…”
Speaking about Kareena: “meeting with kareena was super fun…12 days left..went to the set today its a feeling beyond words to explain..felt exhilarated !”
Judging from Sid’s tweets, there is a lot of good and positive energy flowing on the sets of his film. A few days before shooting commenced, Sid said: “at my set it looks amazing..what a feeling super excited in 10 days this place will be buzzing with energies :-)”

When the crew arrived in Sydney, Sid admitted that he was nervous and excited for the shoot to begin. In his latest tweet, he’s asked his friend and colleague, Karan Johar to join him and the cast on set for a few days.
With such good repertoire amongst the cast and crew and what promises to be an interesting storyline, we can expect nothing less from the likes of Karan Johar who has not failed to disappoint us.
