Jessica Simpson’s groundbreaking show The Price of Beauty will see her investigating beauty secrets worldwide and for Bollywood beauty, she has chosen former Miss India Neha Dhupia, known to American audiences for her role in Bollywood Hero. Jessica will be visiting Mumbai next week to film the segment and is hoping to throw a big Bollywood party at the end of it. “I said we wear saris only on special occasions,” says Neha, “In keeping with my personality, I’ll wear something Indo-Western for the show. But I know for sure that Jessica will be draped in a sari!”
Meanwhile, Neha has filmed an appearance for the UTV Bindaas reality show The Big Switch, which sees rich kids having to cope with life in a Mumbai slum and slumdogs getting the chance to live the high life. Neha brought pizza and other little treats to the rich kids as a reward for their efforts. “It was a fantastic experience: while the rich kids learnt from the poor, the poor learnt from the rich,” she explains, “It was relaxing to hang out with those people not because of who they were, but for the qualities they possessed. I had a blast.”
Neha has confirmed that she is taking a break from the treadmill of Bollywood for the moment whilst she plans the next stage of her career. “Five of my films are ready for release, and as a result I don’t want to plunge into any other projects,” she confirms, “I am taking my time reading scripts and saying no more often to offers.” Neha’s films lined up are De Dana Dhan, Action Replay, I Am 24, Raat Gayi Baat Gayi and Pappu Can’t Dance Saala.
