Karan Johar openly supports every film that Bollywood seems to jut out – with the exception of any Ram Gopal Varma production, but that’s a different story. So when he came all out and supported good friend Sajid Khan’s latest dud venture Housefull, he seemed to attract much negative attention from his fans all across the board.
His tweet regarding the film read,
“on my way to LA..heard HOUSEFULL has opened to thunderous houses!! More POWER to ritiesh, sajid, akshay, arjun, deepika and lara!!!”
This didn’t go down too well with his loyal fans who cumulatively believe that it is really not necessary for the entire “film family” to support every film – good or bad, that releases. So his fans have seem to have turned abusive and have tweeted hate messages and sent him hate mail too. Karan Johar hasn’t taken to this turn of events too well and in turn, has retorted by claiming that it is his prerogative and choice to appreciate or congratulate any filmmaker or film. In fact, the director went on to claim that he had congratulated the makers of It’s A Wonderful Afterlife but no one cared too much about that.
