Mamta Mohandas is returning to her roots and has bought a home in Bahrain where she was born and raised before moving to India. Already being described as the Kedi Kid after her surprisingly successful outing with the ageing Nagarjuna in the film of the same name, the young actress can’t stop raving about the balcony and the view from her new domain.
The film that Mamta is working on now looks as though it could be really interesting. Anwar, in which she stars opposite Prithviraj, is set in the murky world of Kerala terrorism where idealistic young men are recruited and manipulated into becoming suicide bombers.
The Musafir actress works as both an actress and as a playback singer – but how would she describe herself? “As a singing actress. I am an actress now and a singer forever,” she says.
