With mother’s day passing this week, an online poll conducted by Gourav Rakshit, COO of Shaadi.com, was to see who the general public thought were the most popular Indian mothers. Topping the charts were Bollywood actresses with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with 52.38%, trailed by Madhuri Dixit Nene with 29.27% and Sridevi at 18.35%.
The poll received over 16,000 replies, also showing that 60.48% feel Tanuja and Kajol have the most popular mother-daughter relationship, and 2.26% saying Neetu Singh and Ranbir Kapoor have the most popular mother-son relationship.
The poll further enlightens us that 40.1% of the people believe that Malaika Arora Khan has balanced her career and family life followed by 30.37% choosing Mary Kom and 29.53% going with Sonia Gandhi.
Gourav certifies that “The poll showcases some of the most successful Indian women whose love and dedication also makes them popular mothers. This suggests the people are looking at celebrities as real people with real relationships. The poll is part of the consistent research that we do to gauge the preferences of today’s youth.”
